    Asharqia Chamber begins the second step of the "Takamul" initiative to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors​

    As part of the "Takamol" initiative adopted by the Asharqia Chamber to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors, a joint committee was formed yesterday to work on developing investment activity in the Jubail Governorate, which includes representatives of the local council, the municipal council and the chamber's business council in the governorate.

    This step comes after the launch of the initiative last February in the governorate of Khafji, through which a working group was formed from the representatives of the three councils as well, with the hope that the initiative would be generalized to include all governorates within which the Asharqia Chamber is moving, namely (Qatif, Ras Tanura, Abqaiq, and the upper village. , And Nairyah).

    On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Jubail witnessed a video-call meeting with the participation of His Excellency the Governor of Jubail Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Askar, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khaldi, the Mayor of Jubail Municipality, Eng. Nayef bin Faisal Al-Duwaish, and Chairman of the Municipal Council in the Governorate Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Mishal. And a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Saadoun bin Khalid Al-Ateesh Al-Khalidi, the Secretary-General of the Chamber, Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, and Chairman of the Board of Works of the Asharqia Chamber in the governorate Mubarak bin Abdullah Al-Mishal.     During the meeting, His Excellency the Governor of Jubail, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Askar, affirmed that the Takamul initiative is a great opportunity for coordination between government agencies, municipal councils, and business councils to reinforce the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, and His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, which affirms the need for coordination between governorates to support the achievement of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

    For this part, The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khaldi, said that the initiative of "Takamul​" adopted by the Asharqia Chamber comes as part of the Chamber's continuous efforts to enhance opportunities for cooperation between the private sector and all government agencies, believing that cooperation is a necessity imposed by economic work and imposed by entitlements. The current situation ... stressing that the chamber seeks through this initiative to find clear formulations for mechanisms that consolidate integration between the private sector and the provincial councils, for integration and cooperation to achieve ease in exchanging information and seeking opinions on all common issues, which is conducive to achieving our goals in support of Vision 2030.

    For his part, a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Saadoun bin Khalid Al-Oteesh Al-Khalidi said that in light of the current entitlements, initiatives to stimulate cooperation and integration and re-formulate specific formulations to unify efforts take a high priority on the agenda of all government agencies and others, as they represent a strategic option that supports achieving sustainable economic growth and enhances All parties in the march of the vision and its goals, stressing that cooperation and integration between us enable all of us to discuss challenges and develop the best possible solutions to overcome them.

    Al-Oteesh indicated that the “Takamol” initiative comes as a step forward on the side of the Chamber to push towards enhancing opportunities for integration, concerting efforts, and cooperation according to mechanisms to be agreed upon between the Chamber as a representative of the private sector and between the various councils of the region and branches of government agencies in it .. believing that integration is the tool. Effective in weaving threads of close cooperation and exchange of information and experiences, to achieve excellence in performance and raise rates of ability to address challenges of economic concern, achieving integration leads to positive competitiveness in the Kingdom with high levels of performance and productivity.

    He mentioned that the initiative relies on several pillars represented in activating the partnership mechanism between the public and private sectors, following the latest methods and techniques in marketing investment opportunities for the business sector in the governorates, supporting the entrepreneur's sector for modern projects, overcoming the obstacles and difficulties facing them, allocating investment projects for this category, and supporting them. With advisory and financing solutions, encouraging digital transformation services in the governorates for the public and private sectors, and enhancing the media role to cover the effectiveness and activities of the initiative and its strategic pillars.​

    After that, it was agreed to form a joint executive committee from representatives of the three councils, after the meeting witnessed lengthy discussions revolving around ways to activate the initiatives offered by the three councils to develop the governorate, and views were exchanged on many proposals such as launching an electronic platform to receive proposals and initiatives in support of the movement invest in the province.​​
